Dublin Cycling Campaign Back at VegFest!
Dublin Cycling Campaign was delighted to run the Valet Bicycle Parking at VegFest, held this year in Leinster Cricket Club, Rathmines, on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September.
It gave us a lovely opportunity to chat to VegFest attendees about our work and how our campaigning efforts have helped to improve cycling conditions in Dublin. Equally, VegFest punters were only thrilled to have their bikes expertly parked and looked after while they enjoyed the event! In total, just under 90 punters used the Bike Valet. We hope that we will have new members and volunteers on board as a result of all the chats over the two days!
Dublin Cycling Campaign wishes to thank VegFest for inviting us back once again to run the Bike Valet, and Dublin City for the barriers and supports for the bikes.
A special thanks is due to our terrific team of volunteers who ran the bike valet on Saturday and Sunday. They were Ellen, Vinnie, Mairéad, Úna (and her two children!), Enid, Joe, Damien, Martin, Garman and Shane.
Dublin Cycling Campaign would be very happy to hear from the organisers of other events (concerts, festivals etc.) who might like to have valet bike parking for their customers. Just drop us a line to info@dublincycling.ie letting us know about your event.
