On May 24th we will be electing our representative for local and European government for the next five years. Over these years, we will be pressing our representatives to deliver safer, better cycling as part of a safe climate future and as part of a healthier and more livable future of cities.

Our monthly open campaign meeting on May 13th will be looking at how we can make the most of these elections - what we want and what we can expect from our representatives. Councillor Paddy Smyth will be presenting his experiences as a cycling advocate on the council (he is not standing for re-election) and we will be sharing our manifesto. The meeting will be a chance for members to share their priorities, strategies and lobbying tips for advancing cycling during the course of the next council and European parliament term. There will also be brief updates from our working groups and a look ahead at what to expect from Velocity 2019!
