Liffey Cycle & BusConnects Workshop
#LiffeyCycle
Join us on Sunday 9th of December - and bring your friends! - for our monthly family-friendly Liffey Cycle, the final one of 2018!, followed directly afterwards by Christmas mince pies and a workshop about BusConnects, one of the largest ever public transport and bike planning projects to be launched in Ireland! BusConnects has the potential to improve every cyclists commute and even leisure ride! The Workshop with complimentary mince pies, mulled wine, and tea and coffee, will take place in the Waterways Visitor Centre in the Grand Canal Basin.
The #LiffeyCycle is an inclusive event intended to get as many people as possible up on their bikes for a sociable cycle along Dublin’s Quays. Everyone is welcome to come along, especially families and inexperienced cyclists.
We will gather in Grand Canal Square, just in front of the theatre, for an 11am start. We’ll cycle a loop of the Quays in one large group and then finish up back where we started. Bring your Christmas Santa Hat and of course your Christmas voice to ensure we will be heard along the route. Our latest chant on the Liffey Cycle, to the tune of Jingle Bells goes as follows!
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Come on NTA
When are you going to build, the Liffey Cycleway!?
The cycle will take approximately one hour and will be followed directly by a BusConnects workshop in a nearby venue. Everyone is welcome to join us for the workshop where we’ll try to give some insights into the latest BusConnects designs and their potential impact on cycling in Dublin. We’ll also be looking for feedback from people about how BusConnects is going to affect them. Tea & Coffee will be provided.
