The Dublin Cycling Campaign were at Dublin VegFest on 22 & 23 September last providing valet bike parking. 106 people left their bikes with us over the two days in what was a well received service. Our 13 volunteers got to talk to cyclists and promote the Campaign and we even got some new members. We also got to admire some really nice bikes too!

The cyclists simply came to our stand which was at the entrance to VegFest, gave us their names and phone numbers and we gave them a ticket and took their bike. Very simple and very effective. Cyclists didn’t have to spend time looking for somewhere to lock their bikes, knew their bikes would be safe and even got their tyres pumped and a puncture fixed (thanks Brendan)!

Dublin City Council funded the equipment and we agreed to report back to them after the event.
