On Sun 31st Oct we held our Halloween Spooky Cycle in Sandymount. On a glorious, sunny morning, we had over 200 people on bikes. We met in Clanna Gael GAA Club in Irishtown and cycled along the coast road, past Sandymount Tower and then back into Sandymount Green via Gilford Road. Everyone on bikes felt safe and secure thanks to our marshals and to the 4 Gardaí in attendance, Cathal Dunne, Anthony Kelly, Barry Duffy & Daragh O Brien. We had lots of positive feedback for what was a fun and well organised event.
The kids were thrilled that Garda Cathal Dunne and Garda Anthony Kelly handed out the prizes and treats in Sandymount Green after the cycle. The requests are already coming in from kids (and adults..) for a Christmas cycle… If any residents fancy organising a cycle event themselves, we’d be happy to help.
