Dublin Cycling Campaign/Cyclist.ie will be represented at the upcoming Velo City international cycling conference in Nantes, France in early June (http://www.velo-city2015.com/en/). Velo City is the largest event on bikes and bike advocacy in the world. It would be great if you could take the survey on bike mobility to help feed into cycling experiences worldwide.
Velo-city is the fabulous cycling planning conference run annually by the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF). This year it took place in Nantes in France at the beginning of June with over 1500 delegates from 80 countries attending. Four representatives from Cyclist.ie, the member for Ireland of ECF, took the time to head over - Dr. Mike McKillen, Colm Ryder, Damien Ó Tuama and Catherine Swift.
From 24th April - 26th April 2014
Three years into the National Cycle Policy Framework (NCPF), this conference will assess its progress in bringing positive change to cycling in Ireland. It will emphasise the necessity of focusing on women and young people to achieve the target of 10% cycling participation by 2020. Papers will be presented from Irish and European perspectives with new initiatives and ideas. It will provide essential guidelines for officials, professionals and practitioners.
