With our fellow campaigners around the country, we are asking Iarnrod Eireann to allow carriage of bikes on trains, including DART and commuter trains. We discuss bike and bus road sharing with Bus Eireann.

College Green - Traffic Management - Public Consultation

Dublin Cycling Campaign applauds Dublin City Council for its vision to dramatically enhance the public realm of College Green by creating a world-class pedestrian plaza and cycle route (as per http://www.dublincity.ie/college-green). Reducing motor traffic in this area presents the opportunity to create dedicated space for cycling in a design that minimises conflict for all modes, including the already large volumes of walking and cycling.

Phoenix Park Bikeweek Festival 2015: 3rd Annual Irish Cargobike Championships!

Sunday 21st June, 12 Midday to 4.30pm.

The 3rd Annual Irish Cargobike Championships: You can see lots of cargobike users participate in a range of fun races such as the relay race, the slalom, the traditional egg and spoon race and a Dutch ring jousting game called Ringsteken. This event will also feature a village market with a range of food, refreshments, and craft stalls, information stands, merchandise and cycling products. Wear a whacky hat and bring a picnic for the Midsummer Mad Hatter tea party! Prizes galore on offer!

Phoenix Park Bikeweek Festival 2015: Pedal in the Park

Saturday 20th June @ 1pm to 5pm.

‘Pedal in the Park’ takes place for the 6th successive year with literally ‘something for everyone!’ There will be a full tented village with food stalls, bike checks, bike rides, stunt bikes, bike polo, bike treasure hunt, kids Sprocket Rocket cycle training, another ‘Meet the Fawns’ bike tour, great prizes and much, much more!

Get Writing! - Get Active!

Dublin City Council have posted a very important consultation opportunity on the proposed closure of a section of Eden Quay to all private motorised traffic. It is proposed to limit access to public transport (PT), bikes, and taxis. There are other ancilliary moves to improve PT and cycling as well within the city centre and, in particular, on the north and south quays.
